1 Thessalonians 4-5
Although the word rapture doesn't appear in the Bible, the idea that the church will one day be snatched out from the world to ever be with the Lord is very evident in today's passage. Verses 4:16-17 say this, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Now are you ready for Jesus to come without any notice and take His people from this world? I hope you are. You don't want to be left behind. There is only one way to be ready for this coming event. You must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Have you received Christ as Savior?
