Day 19

Luke 7-9

Luke seven to nine is packed with examples of great faith. In chapter seven, you see the centurion's faith played out when his valued servant becomes ill and is about to die. The centurion sends word that he believes that with a simple word from Jesus that his servant can be healed.

In chapter eight, you meet the woman who believed that a simple touch of Jesus' robe will cure her of her twelve year illness. In that same chapter, you meet Jarius who is the father of a twelve year old daughter that is about to die. He begs Jesus to come and to heal her. On the way, the word comes that the girl had died. Jesus instructed Jarius to simply beleive and his daughter would be healed.

In each of these cases, great faith yields great rewards. The servant lives, the woman is healed, and the daughter is brought back to life. The same principles of faith apply today. If we have a need, we have to trust that God is going to provide for that need. Maybe it isn't as dramatic as these examples but God still wants us to display faith. He wants us to trust Him even in the daily things that life throws our way.

What do you need to trust God with today? Remember....GREAT faith yields GREAT rewards! Let's exercise our faith this week.
