Luke 10-12
Today I want you to think about the last event in chapter 10. Both Mary and Martha had the right mind to please Jesus but in different ways. Remember this is an historical event recorded by Luke who was in the know. It's not just a story. It's an actual event that took place as sure as can be. Please think about Martha's actions to please Jesus. How were they different from Mary's actions? Where did Martha go wrong in her quest to worship?
I challenge you to think through this event and analyze motives. Then, I ask you to apply what you find to your life. Compare times when you had similar motives to serve/worship Christ. Did everyone involved seem like they were giving the same effort? We are easily distracted sometimes in our quest to please the Lord. It may come in the form of other people serving along side of us that seem as though they aren't giving as much as us.
Write down the things that you discover. If you want, leave a comment to share your findings with others.
