John 7-9
Last week I was very blessed to go to two Red Sox games. Oh, and the tickets were free thanks to Coca-Cola. Drink more Coke LOL. Every game that I have ever gone to in the past five years, which is not too many, I have seen the same guy giving out gospel tracts. I have seen him in other places around Boston occasionally as well. My first response is "AWESOME." I admire his persistence despite the seemly lack of positive response to his presence. I see how people react to what he is trying to give them. I wonder if he ever sees anyone receive Christ because of his diligence to spread the gospel.
Did you notice in today's reading in chapter 7 that Jesus had atleast on brother that didn't believe Him. That's right even Jesus had rejection from family members. It makes sense that the religious leaders would reject Him. After all, Jesus was just bad for business to the Pharisees. I don't know about you, but I do get discouraged when I see people reject Jesus. I am reminded today that, if Jesus' own brother rejected Him, then there will be people that won't believe when I give them the gospel. When someone rejects Jesus, be encouraged because you are in good company.
