Day 43

Romans 4-6

As I read these three chapters, I was absolutely thrilled by the grace of God. I can't think of three more powerful chapters in the Bible to remind us that we are saved from our sin problem through faith alone in Jesus Christ. If circumcision didn't add to Abraham's salvation, then baptism or any other work can't add to our salvation.

If you weren't thrilled and revived by the words of grace, faith, and forgiveness from this passage, I challenge you to reread it with this in mind.

If you are trusting in anything other than Christ alone for the nullification of your sin debt, trust in Jesus today. We are saved from our sin through faith alone in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. He paid our price for sin. Nothing can be added to faith that will make us more acceptable in God's eye than what Jesus did for us on the cross and the grave. The Bible is very clear on how we are to be saved.

First, admit you are a sinner. Second, believe that Jesus paid your sin debt on the cross. And lastly, confess Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection as the substitute for your sin debt. Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." It also says in Romans 10:9-10,"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
